Whether they are for display or for use on the field, down to preferance of balance and of course dimensions.
All swords are made from scratch. Hand ground and forged, drawfiled (with files) and sanded upto 320grit (with strips of abrasive cloth) then polished on a machine.
The blades are sent to a Harden and Tempering specialists in Sheffield to be sure of there correctardness.
